Congrats on the signing up for the Peachtree Road Race. I ran my first one last year and had a blast! I had gastric bypass surgery May of 2007 and have to date lost 210pds. I have run at least one race a month for past 14 months and I am excited to run the PTR again this year. Let the race be a celebration of your improved physcial fitness and make sure you train. It might also be good to run a 5K a month before the race to get a idea of where you are in your training. Good Luck and see you at the Peachtree!

Congrats!

I had my surgery on 2/20/09 and I’ve lost 30lbs since my pre-op diet. When did weight loss start slowing down for you after the initial surgery? I haven’t even had a fill yet. I’m wondering if I should have my doctor not do one until my weight loss slows. I’m losing about a pound every two days. What was your experience?
