Six Months Post Op!

On Tuesday I went to Dr. Champion for my 6-month check up!  On one hand, I can’t believe it’s been 6 months already.  I am in such a different place in my life now.  On the other hand, it seems like yesterday.

Dr. Champion was really happy with my progress, which makes me happy because he’s not one to mess around with.  He’ll tell it like it is.

1.  I am down 62 pounds since my surgery 6 months ago.

2.  My blood work all came out good.  My calcium, B12, Iron levels are perfect.  My blood pressure is great.  My cholesterol level is about 15 points higher than where he wants it to be, BUT it’s about 20 points lower than where it was when I started this journey.  And my triglycerides are on their way down, too.  So, as he said, “Everything is headed in the right direction…”

Overall, I am just so happy I jumped in head first and took this journey.  It has really shown me that I can achieve weight loss success.  This whole year for a VARIETY of reasons has shown me my RESILIENCE.

Here are some before and after pictures!
