Braves Game + Food = Blog

Waiting for my dad to come pick me up to go to a Braves vs. Phillies game.  I don’t think people really go to sports games for the game, unless you’re a die hard fan or live in Canada.  I still kind of get excited thinking about the hot dogs!  Which makes me believe that most people go to sports games for the food and beer.  This makes it hard on those who want to be healthy when you’re surrounded by a gazillion hot dogs, nachos and cracker jacks boxes.  I might get a hot dog and only eat the hot dog part, but that might look obscene.  I will most certainly get a lot of stares from the drunkies!  Anyway, just food for thought.  Pun intended.

(the cutest hot dog I would never eat!)

Right now I am wearing black converse and capri’s and I feel like a Hipster.  Or I look totally and completely gay.  Not sure which one just yet.  Too bad I don’t have a Braves baseball cap to wear backwards, then I’d surely look like a lesbian.   Where’s Ellen?

I  went to the gym today and did 30 minutes of cardio and lifted weights.  I can’t tell if I am down any weight since my scale is broken, (today it said I weighed 114 pounds.  Haha.  Wow!  This Lap Band is REALLY working like a dream!!)  but I do feel smaller.  Last night I saw Kate and she kept tellng me how great I looked (thanks, Kate).  Plus I am incredibly tan – and being tan never hurt nobody!  Oh, I ran into this woman named Crystal who used to sell Real Estate in my buidling.  I haven’t seen her in probably 6 months and she got on the elevator with me and was like, “WOW.  Julie.  You look sooooo great!”  And I blushed and said, “Aw, thank you so much.”  It made me feel really happy that someone who I’ve only seen a few times in my life noticed such a difference.  Rock on.

Have a happy and safe 4th of July weekend and Pride weekend if you’re in the big and flaming ATL!  I’ve got a PACKED weekend.  Tomorrow I am going to a cookout and then fireworks and Saturday night I have Katie and Park’s wine and cheese engagement party.  More food and friends and time to really pay attention to everything that I put in my mouth.  Not in a sexual way, of course  :-)
