Believe In Yourself

That’s me up there in the picture. In addition to losing weight, I have also received a sex change operation and am an Olympic Runner. Who knew all this was possible in less than 4 months! That mustache is sorta itchy though…

I went to Dr. Champion today and got officially weighed in: I am down a total of 42 pounds!! In less than 4 months. I am stoked. I am going back to him in 6 weeks to get my 2nd fill; and my goal by that time is to be down a solid 50 pounds.

He said that I am doing almost as well as Gastric Bypass patients (who statistically lose more weight much quicker than Bandsters). And that I am above average for weight loss as a Bandster.

I’m not letting this get to my head by any means – I look at this is actually a lot of pressure to keep it up!! I don’t want to slack off now.

Another cool thing is that I jogged around my neighborhood (in Marietta) two times on Sunday. I gave myself a goal of making it around once – and I just kept on going! Then on Tuesday I ran from my apartment to Piedmont Park and around one of the little loopy loops at the Park – and that came out to be a mile (maybe even a tad more according to my runner friend Kathryn). I thought for sure that I’d be winded by the time I got to the Park – and to my surprise, once again, I was able to keep on going much further than I thought possible. I felt like Prefontaine!! Haha, jk.

Only 25 more miles to go and it’ll be a Marathon!
